Operations first. AI where it fits.
The AI gap isn’t access. It’s implementation.
Ladea helps businesses find operational friction, fix the process, and apply the right technology where it actually creates value.
Find the friction first. Then decide whether AI belongs there.
The gap
Knowing AI matters isn’t the same as knowing what to do with it.
Most businesses aren’t short on interest. They’re short on answers to practical questions:
- Where are the real opportunities in our business, not the ones in the demos?
- Which processes are actually worth improving?
- Are the tools we already pay for good enough?
- Where is automation justified, and where is it overkill?
- What should stay in human hands?
- How would we know if it worked?
A product won’t answer those. Looking closely at how the work gets done will.
What we do
We start with the work, not the technology.
Five steps, in this order. Skip the first two, and you risk automating the wrong problem.
-
Find the friction
Understand where time, effort and information are being lost: the rework, the waiting, the double entry, the question someone answers ten times a day.
-
Understand the process
Map what actually happens, not what the procedure document says happens. That means talking to the people doing the work.
-
Choose the right solution
It might be AI, workflow automation, Microsoft 365 or Copilot features you already pay for, other existing software, a custom integration, or simply a better process. The problem decides, not the tool.
-
Implement
Integrate it into the actual business: your systems, your people, your way of working. Then adjust it once it meets the realities of day-to-day work.
-
Measure
Compare against where you started. If it didn’t create a meaningful improvement, you’ll hear that from us first.
Where we help
Friction worth looking at
The kinds of problems we investigate. None of them automatically calls for AI. Some need a better process, some need a tool you already have.
- The same customer emails, answered by hand every day
- Staff copying information from one system into another
- Reports rebuilt manually every week or month
- One task done three different ways by three different people
- Critical knowledge that lives in one employee’s head
- Microsoft 365 and Copilot licences nobody is really using
- Systems that don’t talk to each other
- Administrative work that eats hours but needs little judgment
- Workflows held together by spreadsheets and email threads
- Handoffs where work stalls because no one is sure who owns it next
Recognize a few of these? That’s usually where the conversation starts. Tell us about yours
How we think
The goal is better operations, not more AI.
-
Not every problem needs AI.
If a checklist, a clearer handoff or an inbox rule fixes it, that’s what we’ll recommend.
-
What you already own comes first.
Many businesses already pay for software that does what they need. We check before suggesting anything new.
-
Custom only when it’s justified.
We build custom workflows when existing tools genuinely don’t fit, not because building is more interesting.
-
Human-in-the-loop where it matters.
Human oversight stays where the consequences, ambiguity or judgment warrant it.
-
Not tied to any platform.
Microsoft, Google, existing SaaS, n8n or custom code: we choose what fits your business and your team.
Understand how the work actually happens first. Then decide whether technology should change it.
About Ladea
An implementation partner, not a software vendor.
Ladea Technologies is an AI implementation partner based in Montréal, Québec. Our work combines process improvement, workflow automation and AI integration, using the software a business already has wherever it genuinely fits.
- Who we work with
- Businesses that know AI matters but haven’t worked out what to implement, or that have tried tools that never quite stuck. Usually teams losing time to manual steps, re-keyed data and unclear handoffs.
- How engagements work
- In stages: an assessment first, then a defined implementation, a stabilization period, and ongoing support only where it’s justified. Each stage is scoped on its own. If you stop after the assessment, you keep the findings.
- What we’re not
- A software company. We have no platform to sell you, so recommendations follow the problem, not a product.
- Where we work
- Based in Montréal. We work in English and French.
